Applications are open for the 2026 NZTR McKenzie Future Leaders Scholarship, offering up to $10,000 to support young people connected to Thoroughbred racing as they begin their university studies.
New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing (NZTR) has named Maria Scott as the latest recipient of the NZTR McKenzie Future Leaders Scholarship - a $10,000 award supporting the next generation of leaders in New Zealand’s Thoroughbred industry.
NZTR extends its heartfelt congratulations to three exceptional members of the Thoroughbred racing and wider equine community, recognised in the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours for their service and contribution to New Zealand society.
